Announcing Heart Land Mines Volume! Pre-Order Now!

Here it is! New album cover and my forthcoming solo concept album is called “Heart Land Mines Vol. 1”!

It’s based on a true story from around the mid to late 90s when I drove back and forth across the country between LA, NY and Miami trying to decide where to live and what I was going to do given I had all my stuff in storage and moved out of my then girlfriend’s Santa Monica apartment. I grabbed a suitcase and guitar then just started driving with no particular plan. I wrote songs along the way and now, over 25 years later, you’ll finally be able to hear them!

Here is an early first listen. An album teaser “preview”:

Heart Land Mines features a variety of great musicians including Fernando Perdomo, Matt Dorsey, Joe Deninzon, Durga McBroom, Mark McCrite, Lyle Workman, Alex Cromarty, Tetra Fletch, Derek Cintron and my son Daniel as well as other guests to be announced.

There will be three pre-order versions. A single CD album, a multi-disc deluxe edition with bonus tracks and a surround Blu-Ray and a Super Deluxe Backers Box Set where you get an extra disc of instrumental mixes plus cool swag and your name in the thank yous.

First pre-order is now available for the main CD!

Mantra Vega Reunite!

The transatlantic band Mantra Vega co-founded by Heather Findlay and Dave Kerzner have reunited to write and record a new song called “We See You” to raise funds for humanitarian relief in Ukraine.

“We See You” by Mantra Vega features Heather Findlay on lead vocals, Dave Kerzner on keyboards and vocals, Dave Kilminster on lead guitar, Chris Johnson on rhythm electric guitar, Stuart Fletcher on bass & Alex Cromarty on drums.

Artwork by Howard Rankin

The band has also made a “Global Sing-Along Mix” available, where anyone in the world can sing the verses in their own language, or with the wordless anthemic chorus.
“Heather came to me with this great idea of reuniting Mantra Vega to do a song for this global concern regarding the war in the Ukraine. I’m proud to have taken part in it” says Kerzner. “In addition to raising funds to help the people of the Ukraine we also wanted to send love and support to all who are suffering from this crisis through the universal language of music”.

“In a bid to move out of a place of worry and fear watching the situation in Ukraine unfold, the seeds for “We See You” emerged and quickly evolved into a beautiful, uplifting collaboration that carries a message of light and hope to our fellow Humans” says Findlay. “War is sadly deeply ingrained aspect of Human nature and wherever on Earth it occurs, the effects are devastating and far reaching. Serving only as another reminder of the fact we are ultimately one. When they hurt, we hurt”.

‘WE SEE YOU’ will be available from Midnight 00.00 on Friday 6th May exclusively on Bandcamp For a limited time only.

Spreading the Love

In an incentive to help spread the love, Mantra Vega invites fans to share the single artwork created by Howard Rankin from Midnight (00.00 GMT) on Friday 6th May, either as their profile pic, or as a social media post, accompanied by the download links, encouraging their friends to head over to Bandcamp to buy the single.

Why bandcamp?

Bandcamp is a platform which offers fans the ability to pay what they want for the music. As it is a platform which offers hi-resolution audio downloads too, the price per track is usually a little higher and so creates a great fundraising opportunity for charity too.

Why Bandcamp Friday?

Bandcamp Friday currently happens once a month and on this day only, the 10% revenue share Bandcamp usually takes is waived, which in this instance means more funds can be donated to Ukraine.

Modern Prog Artist Dave Kerzner Releases “Breakdown A Compilation 1995-2019” – OUT NOW!

Dave Kerzner is a progressive rock artist and producer who has been making music since the mid-90s with artists such as Kevin Gilbert of Toy Matinee and others. In 2010 he co-founded the award-winning band Sound of Contact with Simon Collins and co-wrote/produced their debut album “Dimensionaut.”

Since then, Kerzner has released two highly acclaimed studio solo albums “New World” and “Static” as well as several live albums and a lot of music made with an array of collaborative projects such as his band In Continuum featuring special guests Steve Hackett of Genesis and more, Mantra Vega, a transatlantic project with former Mostly Autumn singer Heather Findlay, Lo-Fi Resistance with Randy McStine and star-studded tribute albums with his side project Sonic Elements.

“Because a lot of my songs have ended up on albums from different bands and projects, as opposed to being easily found on my solo albums, I thought it would be nice to bring a taste of each together in one double CD package at an attractive price to introduce a body of my work to new listeners,” says Kerzner. “While doing this compilation, I also wanted to include previously unreleased outtakes, alternate studio tracks and live versions of songs from these albums so this collection would appeal to those who already have my albums and want more.”

Kerzner’s new album “Breakdown” coming out on Cherry Red Records is a collection of 21 songs on 2 CDs with over 2 hours of music produced by Kerzner including brand new versions of songs like “Only Breathing Out” which he originally wrote and recorded with Sound of Contact, as well as the song “All That Is” from the soon to be released sophomore “In Continuum” album. “Acceleration Theory Part 2: Annihilation,” a song that features guest vocalist Jon Davison of Yes and was co-written between Kerzner and Yes co-founder Jon Anderson. The title track of the album,”Breakdown,” is an outtake from Kerzner’s solo album “Static.”

In addition to this, the collection offers alternate versions of songs from LoFi Reistance’s “Chalk Lines” and Mantra Vega’s “The Illusion’s Reckoning” with a special trip back to 1995 when he played with Kevin Gilbert’s band Thud in the form of a new live tribute performing Kevin’s song “Joytown.”

In Continuum Releases Follow Up Album Acceleration Theory Part Two: Annihilation

For immediate release

November, 27, 2019 , Miami Florida – In Continuum announces the release of their second album! Earlier this year frontman Dave Kerzner had collaborated with his Sound of Contact band mates past and present to put out the first in a series of sci-fi fi progressive rock albums called “Acceleration Theory” with his new band/project In Continuum.

Now, at the end of the same year, comes the follow up album called “Acceleration Theory Part Two: Annihilation” which has just become available on CD and HQ digital download from Kerzner’s Sonic Elements Bandcamp as well as being available on Apple iTunes, Amazon and others.

“This second album offers a satisfying conclusion to go along with our first album which ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger” says Kerzner “But, that doesn’t mean it’ll be the last one in the series”.

Acceleration Theory Part Two: Annihilation is the follow up album to In Continuum’s Acceleration Theory Part One: AlienA released in January 2019. Both are cinematic Progrock concept albums dealing with alien visitation in the future and the fate of mankind. Like their debut, the new album once again features an all star cast of musicians including: Dave Kerzner, Matt Dorsey and Randy McStine from Sound of Contact, vocalist Gabriel Agudo from the Steve Rothery Band, drummers Nick D’Virgilio and Marco Minnemann (of Big Big Train and The Aristocrats respectively) and special guests Michael Sadler (Saga), Jon Davison (Yes), John Wesley (Porcupine Tree), Fernando Perdomo (Dave Kerzner Band), Leticia Wolf (The Dead Deads) and more.

The album was mixed and produced by Dave Kerzner and features songs written mainly by Kerzner with a variety of tracks co-written with Simon Collins, Kelly Nordstrom and Matt Dorsey from Sound of Contact.

Dave Kerzner, co-founder of the progressive rock group Sound of Contact, has embarked on his second solo album called “Static”. It is the follow up to his highly acclaimed debut album “New World”. Kerzner, who has run two successful Kickstarter campaigns for his previous albums, has chosen the crowd-funding platform again for “Static”.

The album is available for pre-order here: https://sonicelements.bandcamp.com/album/static

“Static” is a Progressive Rock concept album about navigating past the chaos, clutter and noise so prevalent in modern everyday life. It will feature Dave Kerzner on lead vocals, keyboards and guitars along with guitarist/bassist Fernando Perdomo, drummer Derek Cintron, guitarist Randy McStine (The Fringe), bassist Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), drummer Alex Cromarty (Mostly Autumn), bassist Stuart Fletcher (Mantra Vega), bassist Matt Dorsey (Sound of Contact), vocalists Durga & Lorelei McBroom (Pink Floyd) and more.

“The approach I’ve taken with ‘Static’ is a mix of improvisational collaboration with the guys I played with on my last tour combined with writing songs on my own like I did on ‘New World'” Says Kerzner “As a result, the experience for me is like a hybrid of my past band projects and my solo work for the best of both worlds in terms of spontaneity and a diverse blend of styles.”

“Static” is expected to be released in the first Quarter of 2017 on CD and download through Kerzner’s independent RecPlay label. For more more information visit https://www.davekerznermusic.com
