Dave Kerzner from the band Sound of Contact has released a new music video for his song “Nothing” from his solo album “New World”. Having just performed with Yes, Marillion, Three Friends and more on Cruise To The Edge, Kerzner has announced new European Tour Dates for the Dave Kerzner Band in Spring, 2016 and will also be performing in the US at ROSfest in May, 2016.
Here’s the premiere of the official music video for “Nothing” featuring Dave Kerzner, Nick D’Virgilio, Fernando Perdomo and special guest, fellow SOC band mate, Matt Dorsey.
The single also includes the full length album version, a bonus track called “Recurring Dream” and an alternate mix by legendary engineer/producer Tom Lord-Alge.
“I’m a big fan of late 70s and early 80s crossover Progressive Rock from bands like ELO, Genesis and Yes. It’s what lured me into their musical worlds and this song pays homage to that retro sound with a modern twist” says Kerzner.
The European touring line up will include Kerzner who will be joined by New World-guitarist Fernando Perdomo and long-time Pink Floyd backing vocalist Durga McBroom along with special guests from Sound of Contact, Mantra Vega, Mostly Autumn and more. The shows are double-billed with the Progressive Rock group District 97.
April 2nd, 2016 – Zoetermeer, Holland
Dave Kerzner Band will perform at the Prog Dreams V festival along with bands such as Focus, Three Friends (Gentle Giant), District 97 and Mantra Vega!

Dave Kerzner of Sound of Contact has put together a 7 piece band to perform the songs of his acclaimed debut solo album, “New World”. He has launched a new Kickstarter campaign with an aim to independently fund a multi-disc live album on CD and high definition Blu Ray. Kerzner is no stranger to crowd-funding as this is how his studio album was financed.
“When an independent artist such as myself wants to put on a production with star players from around the world, fortunately there are creative ways to make it happen by connecting with the fans and offering exclusive bundles with a one of a kind experience behind the scenes” says Kerzner.
The Dave Kerzner Band consists of New World-guitarist Fernando Perdomo, drummer Derek Cintron, Lorelei and Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), multi-instrumentalists Randy McStine and Matt Dorsey (Sound of Contact) plus some special guests who will be joining them for their performances on Cruise To The Edge and a soon-to-be-announced show in Los Angeles that will be recorded for the live album.
